I have not been posting much or sending any emails but that will change going forward. I’m now going to be sending a weekly newsletter that’s focused on ways that you can improve yourself and your business (SUBSCRIBE HERE).
I’m excited for this next chapter and welcome any feedback from you about this format!
Brief Update About Me: I recently posted a 2018 recap and 2019 preview which you’re welcome to read if you’re interested. I’m currently living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico where I’ve been heads down working on a handful of new business projects (more on that soon).
My Favorite Learnings This Week
This is one of the best blog posts I’ve read in a while. It’s a must read if you’re ambitious. Written by Sam Altman who runs Y Combinator (startup accelerator that helped launch Reddit, Airbnb, Stripe, Instacart, DoorDash, Dropbox, etc).
I watched David Goggins’ talk with Joe Rogan two months ago and I immediately went to the gym for an hour and then ran an entire golf course (despite the fact that I don’t like running). Since then I’ve been working out harder than I ever have in my life. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for something to fire you up.
I just subscribed to this service. You’ll likely find this extremely useful if you’re involved in any business activities that are related to macro trends (i.e. starting or investing in businesses). Thanks to Nat Eliason for the tip!
This quote made me pause and reflect on whether I’m going hard enough after my goals. It’s widely accepted by the “life optimizer” community that humans are hindered by self-limiting beliefs. Mapping out how you could achieve your ten-year goals in six months is a powerful exercise and it has me pretty fired up.
“I believe I’m going to make it little by little.” This has been my jam for the last 10 days. Makes me think about the long journey that it has taken for me to get to where I am today. And all of the small steps that it will take for me to accomplish my goals.
That’s all folks! Thanks for reading and please let me know if you have any feedback. Until next week!
